Aurora Field Archers are a Field Archery club based in woodlands nr Chelmsford, Essex.
Terrain: Aurora Field Archers have a very interesting ground. Generally the wood is flat, with the added bonus of old bomb holes which make for some great tricky to judge shots.

Directions from the M11: Leave the M11 at the Hastingwood roundabout and follow the signs for the A414 Canes lane sign posted for Chelmsford. You stay on this road for about 11 miles (going over 2 roundabouts). Not far after the village of High Ongar there will be a right turn down to King Street. Stay on Kings Street for about 1.2 miles and then turn slightly right onto Rookery Road. You will quickly turn left onto Nine Ashes Road and continue throught the village of Blackmore. At the end of the village turn left into Chelmsford Road for about 1.1miles where it will turn into Blackmore Road. The shoot will be sign posted from there.
Directions from the M25: Leave the motorway at Junction 28 and head towards Chelmsford on the A12. Leave the A12 at Junction 12 and take the B1002 exit to Brentwood.Continue to follow the signes for the B1002 and after 2 round abouts you will turn left on to St Anne's Road. At the junction turn left to Thoby Lane, which will go off to the gith and turn into Mountnessign Road. At Blackmore Village, continue onto Chelmsford Road for about 1.1miles where it will turn into Blackmore Road. The shoot will be sign posted from there.
Important Information and rules from Aurora
Camping : Is available from 10am on Friday 7th June - no facilities other than toilets provided.
Camping is charged at £5 per night.
Dogs : Are allowed but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
Smoking : Is NOT permitted anywhere in the woods. However is allowed by the main admin section and on the concrete road.
Catering : Will be available - but not on the Friday.
